Cutting grass during Spring Cleanup

As we continue to social distance ourselves from people during the COVID-19 Pandemic, it’s still important to get outside in our own yards and do some maintenance. Spring cleanup around the yard can be beneficial to you for when the summer season comes around. You’ll be already ahead of the game when it comes to landscaping.

Here are Some Tips for Spring Lawn Care:

Aerate & Seed – It’s important that you take care of fertilization and feeding in the early spring for your lawn to grow healthy during the warmer seasons. Aerating will help the lawn roots grow thicker and deeper, so the turf can survive dry spells in the hotter months. Seeding will fill in the bare spots that may have died back in the winter season.

Mow the Lawn – Mowing your lawn more frequently in the spring is important because the grass is growing rapidly. Make sure to get the blades sharpened and your mower tuned-up before you start cutting the grass. You can also have Crew Cut Lawn & Landscaping provide mowing and landscaping for you.

Sodding Your Lawn – Laying sod down in places where there is dead grass sometimes is the only way for those bare spots to grow back. You may have struggled with applying fertilizer and seed, so why not try sod? Crew Cut can help you fix these bare spots in your lawn and get your yard looking healthy.

Bush and Tree Trimming

Some of your plants and bushes will need pruning and trimming done. It’s important to maintain growth, and make sure your plants aren’t growing wildly in your yard. Using a trimmer to shape your bushes and branches helps with the health of them. If you don’t have a trimmer, or you need expertise in this area, Crew Cut Lawn & Landscaping can get the job done for you!
